Entsch bats for kindy cash
THE federal member for Leichhardt, Warren Entsch, dropped into the Goodstart Early Learning centre in Mossman last week to see what he could do for the kindy now that funding for child care is back in the spotlight.
Tony Abbott’s final capitulation on his hugely unpopular pet project, the paid parental leave scheme, which he discarded two weeks ago in a bid to lessen criticism of his leadership, offered an opportunity redirect some of that planned spending ? right back into child care but this time into kindergarten level enrolments and facilities.
