Birmingham talks Medicare, childcare delay, pollies’ perks and SA danger seats

One-quarter of the way through the federal election campaign, we’ve seen further debate on Medicare and a promise to cut down on pollies’ perks.

The Education Minister, Simon Birmingham, tells RN Drive that Labor’s promise to reverse the Medicare rebate freeze is ‘spending money on a problem that doesn’t exist’.

And on childcare, the minister confirms there won’t be any legislative relief for parents until at least 2018.
